Automations & Disposition Tags
Apply one tag after a call, the system runs the followup sequence
The disposition automation system is the core of how GPS Leaders sales runs. After every call (or call attempt), you apply ONE disposition tag from the inbox composer's Disposition ▾ dropdown. The system handles everything else.
The 10 disposition tags
Pre-call (you tried to reach them, didn't connect to a real conversation):
no-answer— Called, no answer, no voicemailvm-left— Left a voicemailmsg-with-gatekeeper— Talked to an employee, not the decision maker
Post-call (you had a real conversation):
spoke-wants-pricing— They want pricing detailsspoke-web-cal— They want a page link + bookingspoke-needs-approval— Needs to run it by someonespoke-email-only— Email only, no SMS, no callsspoke-not-now— Not ready yet, long nurture
Terminal:
won— Closed the dealdnc— Do not contact, hostile or unsubscribed
What happens when you tag
- The pre-call sequence (if any was running) gets canceled — old followups stop firing.
- The new sequence starts. SMS + email + task steps fire over the next 1-30 days depending on the tag.
- Future tasks are pre-created on your calendar so you can see the plan from day 0.
- PlusVibe (the cold email system) gets paused or stopped via API depending on the disposition.
Removing or changing a disposition
The dropdown selection is mutually exclusive — picking a different one auto-removes the previous. The "× None / Remove tag" footer at the bottom of the dropdown clears the active tag entirely (and cancels the running sequence).
You can also remove a lead from a sequence directly from the /automations page. Click the X icon on any row in the Active Runs sidebar — that lead exits the sequence + future tasks get cleaned up.
Viewing or editing the sequence definitions
Visit /automations for the full picture. Each disposition has:
- A flow diagram at the top showing the steps as a top-down chart
- A sectioned editor below (Always / SMS-Eligible / Not SMS-Eligible) — you can add/remove/reorder/edit steps inline
- An Active Runs sidebar listing leads currently in this sequence
- An ACTIVE / DRAFT toggle to enable/disable the whole automation
Changing a sequence affects NEW runs only — existing in-flight runs keep their original schedule.
